STEAM ENGINES AND TRACTORS +

Welcome to our web site!

The Case Historical Museum is a virtual museum.  It will be moving to the Mattawan, Michigan area ( North of M-94 ) in the fall of 2013.

The Case Historical Museum exists today because of our great-great-grandfather's and our father's common lifetime interests in Farming, Military and Education.

Our father was born on the Michigan farm that our great-great-grandfather started in 1906.  We own that farm today.  In the winters there were many snowbound weeks that allowed for a lot of reading and the pursuit of education.  He came to love reading and listening to the radio about history and world events.  This led to his desire to obtain a college degree, a commission in the Army and a life of travel.  Where-ever he traveled he visited all the museums he could.
Our father always believed that museums along with libraries were key repositories of knowledge.  It was a dream of his to have his own museum where he could display his collections.  When he retired from the Army in 2001, he converted a rental property into his museum which he called Case Historical Museum.
We will continue our father's legacy.  The Museum will serve as a forum for education.

The stone axe is sometimes called a Michigan Axe as it is the type of stone axe that one may find in Michigan.  Other modern collectors refer to this as a Five-Point Axe.
